"I feel constantly anxious"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Urology

(as a service user),

I feel constantly anxious.  For a year  I have been undergoing BCG treatment for bladder cancer.  This started with a letter that advised me the results of tests were awaited.  Then incredibly as a note on the bottom almost as  "and by the way", you have aggressive bladder cancer, which as you can imagine was a dreadful shock.   I then commenced the year long sessions of treatment, always having to make several phone calls before being eventually given a date.

The urology nurses at Wishaw have been brilliant, being professional and courteous. I should have had a scan before my December session (that was due in November) and although on my last three visits the urology nurses have mailed to hasten the scan, a date it is still awaited.  I'm doing my best to comply with all advice given to aid my recovery but the constant anxiety is in itself debilitating.
