"Phone First Service and Urgent Care Appointment"

Fantastic service. I phoned this morning and the Nurse Advisor Amanda phoned me back. She was very understanding and compassionate to me over the phone. She took the time to go over my symptoms and arranged for me to be seen at Urgent Care later in the day.

I arrived at Urgent Care at CAH- again I couldn’t fault the staff. I was seen by Nurse Practitioner Clare. 

Clare was very thorough with observations but had a caring manner. She gained consent before checking my chest etc. she showed compassion and empathy throughout my appointment. 

A credit to the team are both these girls.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care you received through the Urgent Care Phone First Service.

We are delighted to that your experience has been positive. It is lovely to have our Nurse Advisor Amanda described as understanding and compassionate - she will be so grateful to receive this lovely feedback. The aim of our Service is to provide Urgent Care to patients possibly requiring an admission to A+E or a Minor Injury Unit Appointment. Therefore, it is great to hear that the Nurse Advisor took the time to go over your symptoms and on recognising the Urgent need for further assessment, gave you the appointment you needed in the Urgent Care Centre.

On arriving to Urgent Care, we are so pleased that you were treated with compassion and empathy. We are delighted to have Clare's skills and qualities recognised so it is great to hear that you found Clare to be thorough in her assessment, gaining your consent prior to examinations and that she was caring throughout.

We are so privileged to have a job where we can care for people and make a difference.

I will ensure that Amanda, Clare and the rest of team are aware of your kind words - we really appreciate them.
