In April 2024 I could not wake my husband up. I called 999 and the ambulance call handler was fantastic, she stayed on the phone until the ambulance arrived a few minutes later.

They assessed my husband, calling for a second crew. They also arrived quickly. The paramedics were great they worked on my husband and stabilised him for transfer to Wishaw hospital. They updated me on his condition and advised I contact a relative to meet me at the hospital. They took me there also.

Whilst in A&E they kept me updated on what was happening and stayed until my son arrived. They were very helpful and caring, my husband was transferred to adult critical care

I am so sorry to read about what happened to your husband, I cannot begin to imagine how frightening that must have been for you, it sounds like he was very sick but, looked after very well by yourself and our staff. It is so great to hear positive stories about the work our wonderful staff provide.
