"Christmas Dinner"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a service user),

I am a patient on Eden ward and I would like to tell you how disapointed my self and other patients on the ward were with this years Christmas dinner the belly pork was so burnt that we had to throw it a way which resulted in no Christmas Dinner which patients have been looking forward to for weeks.

How did this go so wrong.

We’re very sorry to hear you and some of the patients from Eden Ward were disappointed with the Crispy Oven Roasted Belly Pork option on the Christmas Dinner Menu. Our Catering team pride themselves on providing high-quality, food.

We carefully monitor food quality and preparation in our kitchen. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and we did try to offer alternates on the day, but sadly we had no more Turkey dishes to offer as softer meat choice alternative.

We’re so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. I am aware the Facilities Senior Supervisor has met with you personally to learn more about what issues you experienced.

Please accept our sincere apologies, and we will use your feedback on the Christmas Menu planning 2025. We will engage with the patient groups when we start developing the 2025 Christmas menu. To allow patients the opportunity of being involved in the menu planning for this year.

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback with us.

Hi Thank you for taking time to post about this

Zoe thank you for your response

I am keen to aid the development of this and to this end can offer my support to the patients when you plan to meet up with them

We do of course have a hospital Food and shop group so perhaps it can go there along with other planing Image title
