"Acute Medical Care Unit Craigavon"

I wish to extend my appreciation to the nursing staff and support service staff working within the busy Acute Medical Unit.

I wish to put on record my deep appreciation to Sr Allison (Ally) and all her staff including Amy, A.J. and Narinda (apologies if spelling is wrong). Despite the extremely busy nature of the unit I could not find fault with the extremely high level of care delivered.

All staff delivered care which demonstrated their profound commitment to both myself and all other patients, listening with respect to patient concerns.

During my stay I witnessed the respect shown to patients with various forms of dementia. The care provided was pastoral in nature and clearly had a positive impact on their treatment journey.

Thank you Sr Ally and all members of your team, rarely have I witnessed such a high standard of team working, which is essential in the current crisis that prevails within the health service. In my opinion the Minister would do well to look at the set up in AMU Front Wing and replicate elsewhere. Sr Ally clearly leads by example.
