"Gallbladder issues"

About: University Hospital Monklands / General Surgery (Wards 4 & 7) University Hospital Monklands / Urology (Ward 6)

(as the patient),

Been hospitalised twice within the space of 19 days apart with gallbladder pancreatitis. From the minute I arrived at monklands hospital they were great with me. Didn’t wait long to be seen and giving all the right treatment that I needed. Stayed in both ward 4 & 6, where the staff were absolutely amazing. Have been to hospital a few times after then without an admission with pains and they’ve gave me pain relief & advised me on the next stop forward and that’s to remove my gallbladder. Not sure how long I’ll wait,  but been told I’m on the urgent/priority list so hope I’m not waiting too long as it’s hell living like this everyday.

Dear golfsn47,

Thank you for sharing your experience in University Hospital Monklands.

I am so sorry to hear of the issues you have been having with your gallbladder and that you have had to attend the Emergency Department frequently for help. It must have been such a worrying time for you. I am so glad that every time you have needed care, you have found our staff to be informative, caring and supportive.

I look forward to passing on your kind words to all the teams involved and I am sure they will be delighted to hear your feedback and get a real boost from it.

I hope you are feeling much better now.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
