"No empathy and no assistance"

About: Southend Hospital / General surgery

(as a friend),

My friend had a mastectomy and after surgery was admitted to princess ann ward

The care she received was absolutely disgraceful the staff we saw didn't even know she had had a mastectomy

She asked for pain relief that she never got

No assistance was given with moving around she had to do everything herself

The sink next to her bed had some horrible red gunky stuff that was nothing to do with her and wasn't cleaned off

The staff we saw had no empathy for someone who had just had a cancer related op

This was very disappointing
