"The whole experience was brilliant"

About: Inclusion Recovery Hampshire / P2P team

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I've had conflicting Hepatitis C Antibody test results over the years which has always played on my mind.

I came to Inclusion Aldershot one day and saw one of the P2P workers. After explaining this to the person I saw, they did some further tests on me which confirmed that I have had Hepatitis C in the past and cleared it myself.

I've wanted to get re-tested for a while but due to my mental health, the thought of having to wait a week or so for the results has filled me with anxiety and I've avoided having it done.

The tests that were done that day gave me same day results - if had not have been for this chance encounter, it would all still be playing on my mind.

The worker I saw spoke with me in length about Hepatitis C and reassured me that once it has been cleared, it cannot just come back unless I put myself at risk.

The whole experience was brilliant.

Thank you, thank you, thank you - I feel so much better.

Dear Aladm69,

Thank you for your feedback about our service.

I’m glad that you had the opportunity to discuss your anxieties about previous conflicting test results, and that you walked away feeling reassured and informed.

Please do get in touch if there is anything else we can support you with.

Regards,

Alan Howard - P2P Coordinator
