Admitted for tests related to nerve problems. Had the most thorough treatment plan and was communicated to every day about what was going on. From the ward staff, the doctors and in particular the Neurologist and his team in particular. I was treated with respect and kindness from all. I was in for 14 days so had a chance to meet lots of different staff and experience various services, most of which have bwen exceptional.
Areas for improvement would be the bathrooms are poor and maybe outdated, they should be cleaned and tided more frequently. The food although not bad could be improved; I was in an assessment unit so food was brought to the building. Accepting there is a bed shortage, they are squeezing as many beds into ward as possible which means more work for staff but patients are crammed into much smaller areas. Finally the staff shortages are very stressful for both staff - themselves and the patients. Overall I'm very grateful to all the staff involved in my treatment and care whilst on Bleasdale Ward in the Brock Assessment block
"Fabulous treatment and care"
