My Husband was recently taken to A&E by ambulance as he was suffering from agonising stomach pain.
He was assessed in the Major Trauma unit and waited on a bed becoming available so he could be admitted. As there wasn't a bed available at the time, he waited in A&E. When a bed became available, he was moved to Admissions Unit 2 and was taken for surgery to remove his gallbladder, then moved to ward 52.
The care he received was exceptional. From the Surgeon to the Cleaner, he was treated with the utmost respect.
The staff were overworked but attended to all their patients and I cannot rate them high enough.
"The care he received was exceptional"
