"Staff who cared for me were extremely caring and helpful"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Clinical Research Team (C-TRIC )

(as the patient),

I got treated first class from the first day of the trial for my condition for pulmonary fibrosis.

Everything was explain in detail to me and all my questions and concerns were addressed. My consultant and nurses who cared for me were extremely caring and helpful, they seen me on a regular basis. I was treated with the outmost care and even though I was very worried and concerned about taking part I was put at ease and the consultant followed up on all the side effects.

I felt safe and that my consultant was treating me as if I was the only in person involved in the trial, she gave up a lot of time to me and answered my phones calls when required.

I am extremely thankful and grateful for the care and the hope that one day a drug will be available to cure this horrible disease.

Hello Michh34, my name is Ryan Campbell and I am a Clinical Research Nurse in C-TRIC. Thank you for taking the time to give such nice feedback regarding your experience of clinical trials in C-TRIC, WHSCT.

I am very pleased to hear that you had such a positive experience being part of a clinical trial and that your worries and concerns were addressed from the outset and that you felt safe being involved in a clinical trial.

We hope to meet you again should a suitable trial become available.

I have shared your story with my Manager and all my research colleagues.
