"Long covid"

About: Neurological Rehabilitation Centre / Community

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with long COVID in 2023 after months of feeling unwell and dealing with its symptoms. I was then referred to a clinic for assistance in managing my fatigue.

Some of the symptoms I experienced included extreme fatigue, brain fog, shortness of breath, muscle aches, headaches, and trouble sleeping. I also had difficulty concentrating, a persistent cough, and occasional dizziness. These symptoms made it challenging to go about my daily activities.

Support from the service was reassuring and it was good that it was flexible and online. I liked setting small goals to work on. However, I think there could maybe be more visuals in the session, such as videos or powerpoint.

Dear @Kahty,

Thank you for your story. It is helpful to know that you found the support reassuring and helpful through setting small goals. Thank you for letting us know that the materials we use would benefit from more visual support. We will look into this and update the resources. All the best for your recovery.

Kind Regards

Carina
