"This has made a sad experience more positive"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (Ward 62) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Stroke care (Wards 56 and 68)

(as a service user),

My mum was in ward 62 were everyone was great, she was then transferred to ward 56. Ward 56 staff were fantastic from start to finish. PT/OT and Speech and Language were amazing.

Dr Muir was very helpful and made everything simple to understand. Sister Claire was always so approachable and understood how worried we were about my mum getting home and reassured us. Kate always kept my mum going with arts and crafts.

This has made a sad experience more positive

Dear novembertr96,

I am sorry to hear your mum suffered a stroke. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay within Ward 62 and Ward 56. I will pass on your kind comments to the Senior Charge Nurse, AHP staff and Consultant. We wish your mum all the best at home.

Kind Regards,

Rebecca Fulton, Interim Clinical Service Manager, Older People & Stroke Services
