I think I’ve know for a while know that my daughter has had ADHD and possibly on the autistic spectrum but her traits are so different to my son's, who has been diagnosed with ADHD.
I had our first consultation with CAMHS a long time ago (reassessment) but she is very fragile mentally at the moment and coming to a critical part of her schooling as feels like she is drowning and can’t get the help she needs.
My heart is breaking for her and if I could go private I would but it’s not an option. Her guidance teacher is incredible but as she doesn’t have an official diagnosis it’s hard for her teachers to understand her and being neurodivergent in mainstream school is so difficult.
She is struggling to sleep, even with routines in place, then she is always late due to being exhausted and it’s impacting everything. I just need help as soon as possible as it’s having such a damaging effect on her and I feel so helpless. I understand there is a queue but I’m so desperate for her to receive some support at this critical time in her life, she feels like such a disappointment and her confidence and self esteem is so low it’s scaring me as a mum x
