"A great, non-judgemental experience"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Audiology

(as the patient),

I received replacement hearing aids from Audiology at Crosshouse Hospital, as I had taken the old ones out at work and they were accidentally thrown out with the rubbish!

I had a great, non-judgemental experience. The hearing aids, plus custom moulds, were replaced in a couple of weeks. The technician was great, explaining that the new aids had an app and various different functions.

The department even changed my appointment so I could attend a physio appointment at the same hospital on the same morning.

The new hearing aids have functions as good as those in private aids, but on the NHS! This is truly life-changing tech.

Great experience overall.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide very positive feedback as well as honesty too with regard to the circumstances surrounding the need for replacement!

We know that accidents happen so try very hard to remain neutral but at the same time also encourage people to take good care of their hearing aids too so it is often a fine line we need to tread.

I'll make sure the Team in the Audiology Department at Crosshouse are made aware of this.
