"Great assets to the day surgery team"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

I attended Day Surgery in Stobhill under Mr Serpell for IV lidocaine infusion for pain. I hadn't had this infusion in a few years due to pregnancy. 

Mr Serpell was great and explained everything in great deal again and double checked everything with me. He has always been a fantastic doctor and helped me so much with my pain. 

I was sitting with staff nurse Claire throughout the infusion. It was the quickest hour of my life. We shared so many stories and kept my mind occupied the whole time. 

Towards the end I started to feel unwell and Claire looked after me and stopped the infusion, she checked on me multiple times to ensure I was OK. 

Both Mr Serpell and Claire are great assets to the day surgery team. Thank you both.

It is wonderful to know that Mr Serpell provided you with excellent care, taking the time to explain your procedure thoroughly and ensuring everything was double-checked. We're also pleased to hear that Staff Nurse Claire made your experience more comfortable and that she took such great care of you, especially when you began to feel unwell.
