I recently read the latest Service User Newsletter ( Feb '25 ) & one article was regarding if the user was going on holiday or to stay with family, they would be obliged if they were informed so they could update their records & tell the relevant services.
On various occasions I've cancelled visits to a relative in advance & it seems that when the staff from Home Care forward the cancellations & the manager for the area isn't in, the visits aren't being cancelled which means the carers are turning up when they don't have to.
To me that is a waste of money & the visits could be allocated to someone else.
"Home visits not been cancelled"
