To the Wonderful Team at Downe Ward 1, Downpatrick Hospital

On behalf of our entire family, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care the team provided to our father, during his recent stay in Ward 1, after he broke his ankle. Knowing he was in such capable and compassionate hands brought us great comfort during what could have been a stressful time for all of us.

From the moment he was admitted, the team showed incredible kindness, professionalism, and dedication, ensuring he was not only well-treated medically but also comfortable and in good spirits. It truly made all the difference to us as a family to see how well he was looked after and how happy he was in your care.

A special thank you to the whole team, whose warmth and attentiveness went above and beyond, making such a difference. Their kindness, patience and tireless efforts ensured our father was not only well cared for but also felt comforted and supported during such a challenging time. It meant the world to him—and to us—to know he was surrounded by such caring individuals.

Our father himself would like to say: -Thank you all for making my recovery so much easier. Your kindness, patience, and sense of humour helped me more than I can say. I will always be grateful.-
