"I had a very positive experience and was helped greatly"

About: Maternity care / Midwives

(as a service user),

I had a very positive experience and was helped greatly by the Midwife and infant feeding service at Raigmore Hospital, particularly Sarah who really dedicated a lot of time and effort into making sure baby was feeding well before I left hospital. I believe it was fundamental to my ability to still be breastfeeding 3 weeks on.

Dear Mayqw44

Firstly congratulations on your birth and for taking the time to tell us about your experiences.

It is just fantastic to hear how you had such a positive experience and received that crucial early support for breastfeeding and it is lovely to read that you have continued to feed successfully.

As you mention it is of great benefit to leave hospital learning this new skill and I will let Sarah our breastfeeding coordinator know that you felt you really benefited from her support and I know she will be delighted to hear that, so thank you again.

Kind regards

Karen Mackay
