"Excellent care"

About: Stirling Care Village / Minor injuries unit

(as a service user),

I had no choice but to attend Stirling community hospital minor ailments after being refused same day GP appointment and even 111 unable to assist.

From the moment I arrived and explained dilemma I was assured I would be seen if I was happy to wait. Reception staff were very professional, polite and reassuring. I wasn't waiting long and was seen by a nurse who listened carefully to my concerns regarding my knee, she conducted assessment with professionalism whilst being friendly and reassuring. She provided guidance on treatment and most importantly totally reassured me that I did not infact have symptoms associated with  DVT but symptoms more associated with strain on recently operated knee causing inflammation, burning and pain down leg.

I cannot thank the nurse and receptionist enough. After feeling dismissed by others in a cold manner I felt that I was reassured and provided treatment in an empathetic totally professional manner. Fabulous service. Great example of how NHS should function.

Good morning Amity-Rose

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience about your recent visit to minor injuries. I am delighted to read that you found your visit person centred and offered reassurance.

This will be passed onto all staff involved.

I hope you are taking time to rest and your symptoms are beginning to settle.

Best wishes
