"HPV vaccine"

About: Children and young people / School Age Immunisation Team (SAINT)

(as a parent/guardian),

I mentioned/ warned you my daughter may need extra support as potential ADHD and being very worried about the vaccine but instead she experienced very mean treatment especially from one of the nurses.

Being a teenager is not easy and it’s an age when they are ashamed of lots of stuff which happening to them. When my daughter, who is usually tough cookie, was crying from pain and stress this one person was demanding her going back to lesson straight away in very abrupt voice.

They didn't seem to care this young girl might be ashamed of her crying or not feeling well.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your daughters experience.

Obviously I am not aware of the circumstances around your daughters return to class when she was in a distressed stated, but I will follow up with the team.

Apologies to your daughter.

Kind Regards
