"Truly a credit to the institution"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as a service user),

I visited A&E following chest pain as advised by my GP. I was seen promptly by the nurses and then an A&E doctor (Ian) who provided great care and reassurance, nothing felt rushed and he was very reassuring, as I was feeling very concerned as a relatively healthy person in my 30s with chest pains. I was advised to visit urgent care the following day for further tests.

There I was met by a wonderful nurse (didn't get her name sorry) and Dr Price. Dr Price was so attentive and took the time to listen to my concerns, and explained the reason they were carrying out further tests, he also made sure the next steps were what was absolutely best for me by seeking advice from specialists in different areas. He let me know of the next steps in my care and why they had come to the decision.

I'm so grateful for such a wonderful experience during which was a scary time, I left feeling very confident in their decisions of my follow up care and cannot thank everyone enough for making the full experience a little less daunting.

Everyone who I came in to contact with are truly a credit to the institution. Their professionalism, compassion, and dedication to patient care are evident in everything they do, and it’s clear they take great pride in their work. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been under their care.

Also I would like to note that the environment was so clean and very calming, with music playing in the background which was a welcome distraction.
