"Poor communication "

I received a message at almost 6.30pm on the day before a 10.15 appointment, to tell me I was not required to attend the appointment. This was frustrating as I had rearranged things in my diary to attend the appointment inconveniencing myself and colleagues.

Had my records been checked before the initial text requesting I book an appointment was sent on 18/2/25 it would have been evident that the data required was collected at an appointment on Tuesday 11/2/25.

I checked with the receptionist prior to making the appointment whether it was necessary, in light of the information on my records and was urged to attend.

I checked again with the GP I saw on 24/02/25 if the appointment a practitioner was necessary was advised to attend.

This is poor communication, inefficient and unprofessional.

My experience has not enhanced my confidence in the services provided at the practice. To add insult to injury the messages informing me not to attend the appointment did not even contain an apology.

Patients are people too and we have busy lives.
