I want to give Louden Medical Surgery a very outstanding compliment. I have been trying to get this feedback to the NHS for months, so apologies for this tardy feedback.
I was in real dire of straits since the holidays. It was one thing right after the other! I came down with right side sciatica during the Christmas/New Year's season! I missed four parties I was invited to, went right out the window! I was in a lot of pain and I was terribly depressed.
I called up the GP surgery. They got me right into physio, physio therapist check me out with some maneuverers and gave me some exercises to work with. Dr Fowder prescribed meds fast and as soon as I tried to get through the sciatica, I came down with very server bronchitis for the next 3-4 wks.
GP Eileen was extremely concerned about my condition and got me put on double, strong, antibiotics. She told me to cease the exercises while I was sick. Turns out sciatica went away by itself?! Then as I am getting a bit better here, I came down with a two week virus that went through me from head to toe! I am not having a very good time with all the sequence of events to my health.
I did have a blood pressure reading before all this started and it was high! The surgery set me up with blood test, blood pressure, weight, and urine tests. Nurse Carrie handled all this and made sure all tests were organised and carried out properly. She took my BP and weight, they are back to normal. (I can lose another 10-12 pounds to be at my normal weight).
Dr Fowder, who has been sensational for many years, he was monitoring me, helped set up all tests with Carrie. I have to admit the teamwork and attention to detail are superb! I did lose a considerable amount of weight and it appears, if the tests come back ok, I will be able to be ok.
The receptionists are brilliant in coordinating with the medical staff. All in all the whole surgery is brilliant and I know I can lead a healthy life with all the care and dedication this surgery delivers. I am am so very grateful to the whole medical team!
I have been going to this surgery for many years and they just keep giving outstanding patient care! They keep making their best better!
Let's give a lot of praise to the practice manager, who let's face it, runs the joint! I have talked to her on the phone and she is lovely and goes way out of her way to make sure things go smoothly!
I am a dual citizen (British and American) and have been in the UK for over 30 years! I have had all kinds of medical treatments on both sides of the pond! I can say without a doubt, the UK NHS system is the best medical practice in the whole world!
"Outstanding practice"
