"A great environment"

My little girl has been attending these clinics (3 & 4) since she was a baby. She is always very anxious and becomes very shy, she has never spoken at her appointments more than one word answers.

Today she spoke to Jenny the liver specialist nurse a little more and when she went to the blood clinic it was very calm and the nurse and students were very welcoming and giving my little girl time and didn’t over whelm her with questions. She managed to sit on her own chair and have her bloods taken, she was very proud of herself as were her Dad and myself.

Thankyou to all the staff! Always a great environment.

Dear @ Mum89

As the Senior Charge Nurse of the Outpatients Department, I would like to thank you for writing such wonderful feedback on your recent visit to the liver clinic.

I am so thrilled to hear that your daughter communicated more to Jenny, than she has before and that would have been such a lovely moment for you treasure. This is also a sign of your daughters trust within our services. This will make Jenny's day, knowing that she has made positive difference in your daughters experience, coming to clinic.

My treatment room staff are exceptionally skilled and passionate about treating each patient individually, and I am so proud to read this lovely review about the care and compassion shown to your daughter, yourself and her Dad.

Trust, Care and Compassion are key within the Outpatients Team and Specialist Nurses.

Your recent experience as a family will be one to remember. What a proud moment.

I will ensure that Jenny and the treatment room team receive the recognition they deserve.

Thank you once again and have a lovely day.

Kind Regards

Mhairi Stirrat
