"Moveahead confidence workshops"

About: Community Mental Health / Move Ahead - Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Service

(as a service user),

Thank you so much to Jamie and Dave who have been so attentive to my needs. I have lots of health conditions but even from before the course started Jamie made arrangements for me to have a volunteer helping me with my wheelchair, collecting me from the car park and helping me in and out of the venue. I had arranged a special taxi picking me up from my home and taking me back too. Jamie also assured the lighting of the room was ok for me as I have neurovisual issues. I absolutely loved the workshops as I felt included from the beginning to the end of the course.

Dear februaryxt93,

Thank you so much for taking time to feedback regarding your experiences of the MoveAhead Confidence Workshops. My name is Pam Lamond and I am the Senior Charge Nurse for the service

I am delighted to hear that Jamie and Dave were so attentive to your needs. It is so good to hear that they made sure all your needs were considered and attended to. It sounds like this made a difference to your experience that Jamie and Dave made sure you got in and out of the venue with support. I will be sure to pass on your comments. Dave is one of our very valued MoveAhead volunteers who will be delighted to hear that he has made a positive impact on your journey.

It is really positive that Jamie considered all your needs and explored issues around lighting, as I am sure this would have made the workshops a much more enjoyable experience for you. I really am so pleased that you loved the workshops, as our aim is to support people to learn self management skills, in a safe, relaxed and happy environment. It gives staff a great boost to hear this, and also that you felt included from the start to the end of the group. Jamie and Dave work hard as a team to make these sessions fun and inclusive.

You feedback is very much appreciated and will help us going forward with future developments to our community workshops.

Pam Lamond
