"The staff were wonderful"

About: Western General Hospital (Edinburgh)

(as the patient),

I was sent to the SDEC unit at the Western Hospital Edinburgh as my GP was concerned I may have a blood clot as I am recovering from a Right Upper Lobe lobectomy. The staff at SDEC were fabulous. There are free drinks available to patients while they wait. Once my blood results were through Paul the Charge Nurse took me into a room & fully explained what was going to happen.

I had to return the next day for a special CT scan & again the staff were wonderful. I want to say a big thank you to Adam for trying everything to find a vein. After my CT scan Paul offered me painkillers as he could see I was having pain. Once my results were available Paul explained everything concisely & clearly and totally put my mind at ease.

Thank you so much to the staff at SDEC but especially Paul. Keep up the great work.
