"We both felt confident that the staff were very capable"

About: Inverclyde Royal Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a relative),

Recently visited A and E at Inverclyde hospital in Greenock with my husband

My husband was complaining of pain in his leg and his GP advised he attend A and E because of medical issues that put him at risk of DVT.   After booking in he was was quickly called through to the medical assessment unit. Staff Emily and Alison treated us very well and reassured my husband, he had various blood tests, ecg and an X-ray. Fortunately all were clear and he was allowed home. We both felt confident that the staff were very capable and efficient and reassured us the whole time.

We were in and out of the department within about an hour which is amazing.

Dear januaryhr65

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Care Opinion. I am pleased to hear that your husband had a positive experience on his recent visit to Medical Assessment Unit. The staff will be delighted to read your kind works.

I trust your husband is now recovering at home and I am sure he will be relieved that there is no clot in his leg.

Kind regards

Alison McKinnon
