Our daughter was born on Christmas Eve in the Royal Hospital in Belfast. The midwife who delivered her was called Hannah. We couldn't speak highly enough of Hannah. She was so reassuring, and gave us both so much confidence. She was open, honest and helpful in relation to our options. We will always remember her, and are so grateful she was there to help bring our baby into the world.

We have also had a brilliant experience with our Health Visitor Melanie. She is compassionate and knowledgeable and I credit her with enabling me to now be exclusively breastfeeding my daughter after a difficult start. She has always been there when needed, listens to me and provides options as well as reassurance.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely comments about your HV Melanie. I am delighted to hear that you got the support you needed to help you breastfeed your daughter. I will make sure that Melanie sees your comments. We are very proud in SET to hold the UNICEF GOLD award for excellence for infant feeding and do our best to support all parents with their feeding choices.

As HVs it is a privilege to support parents in the often difficult job of parenting, I am sure Melanie will be with seeing you again in the near future.
