"The service is a godsend"

About: Forth Valley Community Services / Stroke Transition & Rehabilitation Team (START)

(as a relative),

My husband had a stroke in November & since leaving the Bellfield after a 4 week Rehabilitation period, these last few months the START team has been working closely with him, OTs & speech & language, & they are worth their weight in Gold.

What a team - compassionate, reassuring, understanding & supportive and above all strive to do their best by their patient. Their input has been invaluable .

My husband's rehabilitation has been made so much easier by the team who have worked hard to get him on the road to a good recovery.

So thank you so much Simone OT, Nicole & Rebecca Speech & language, Stroke Transition and Rehabilitation team, Falkirk community Hospital, you really excel at what you do. The service is a godsend.

Hi Melonkr49

Thankyou so much for your feedback: that is lovely to hear. I'm passing it on to the team as it boosts morale to know we are making a difference for people at such a critical point in their lives.

Please may we wish you both all the very best in the next stage of the recovery journey.

With thanks from START.
