I had a total hip replacement at Inverclyde hospital Greenock
Everything went well staff were excellent in ward K north
After 10 days unfortunately my hip joint came out, went to RAH A&E and the hip was put back in was sent home, the hip then came back out on the same day, went back to RAH and was admitted to ward 21
The next day went back to theatre and hip was put back in but then had to spend 5 days in bed with limited movement
After the 5 days went back to theatre for another procedure after 4 days then was able to go home
I would like to thank all the staff involved in every aspect of my stay at RAH, especially the dedication and patience shown by everyone on ward 21 the care I received was excellent from everyone
I would like to name staff members Adele, Angela , Chelsea, Esther, Tracy, Kayliegh, Tegyn ,Charlotte ,Rachael, Toluwase, Phoebe, Pauline, Jackie and William.
George the physio, Gabriel and Mae from OT.
Sorry if I have missed anyone but there was a lot of people involved
The food on the ward was good with plenty choice
The long hours the staff work and the pressures they are under, I believe they deserve more support and resources for the dedication they are giving.
"Dedication and patience"
