I recently experienced a missed miscarriage around 10 weeks pregnant. We discovered our baby's heart had stopped beating at an early ultrasound and advised to attend the EPAS at Wishaw general. This was our first pregnancy and experience of loss.
We were seen for a scan where they confirmed our baby had passed. I returned the following week for surgical management and was cared for by midwife Heather before & after my procedure. Heather was gentle, kind and took great care of me and my husband at a very difficult time and explained everything clearly about what would happen on the day and following.
I understand this happens to many woman along with other problems on the EPAS ward, but you are not made feel any less important. All of the staff I encountered treated me with care and made the whole experience as bearable as possible.
I am very grateful for them all and thank Heather for looking after us yesterday.
