"Community paediatric dietitian"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Paediatric Dietetics

(as a service user),

How did I feel? Absolutely fuming!

Been waiting over a year possibly longer for this app for one of my twins. Been told they were put to the bottom of the waiting list.. I feel forgotten about!

Despite doctors at children's hospital and Health Visitors trying to contact my twins' dietitian (who we've never met).

They are twins with additional needs, one is still on oxygen. My other wee one has Cerebral Palsy and has trouble gaining weight. Not had any advice whatsoever.

This appointment was based on my daughter going into the hospital because she's not gained any weight in nearly 8 months, but appointments have been cancelled without letting the parents know.

The stress and anxiety you have put me through is no laughing joke.

In my experience, Lanarkshire community paediatric dieticians is just not good enough.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience and can understand how frustrated you must feel.

Please can I ask you to contact me at University Hospital Wishaw with your child’s name and date of birth so that we can discuss this further.

I apologise for the distress this must have caused.

Acute Dietetic Lead.
