"Excellent service provided"

About: Emergency Department / Minor Injuries University Hospital Wishaw / Radiology

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter injured herself at her gymnastics class and after calling NHS 24 we were sent to A&E at UHW.

After only a short wait we were taken in to Minor injuries and seen by the physiotherapist. The whole team in minor injuries, radiography and the orthopaedic consultant we saw were all very friendly and efficient throughout our time there.

The physio was very reassuring to my daughter, he assessed her injury and gave us a plan of how treatment would go. We had a couple of trips to and from x-ray while we were there, the whole time the physio and the orthopaedic consultant updated us on the treatment plan and made sure we were happy to proceed at all stages.

We were lucky to have short waits throughout our visit and the whole experience of the minor injuries service was excellent. Keep up the good work!

Dear giftdt36

Thank you for taking the time to write in about your recent experience whilst attending with your daughter.

I'm sorry to hear she had an injury and I hope she is on the road to recovery.

It is always lovely to receive such positive comments and I'm sure the staff in radiology will be delighted. I will make sure this is passed on to the staff.

I hope your daughter is on the mend.

With warm wishes

Sara
