The wellness sessions have been hugely beneficial because carers and parents don't take time out for themselves because they are too busy caring for others. From coming to these sessions I am able to identify symptoms in my body and to recognize these as emotions and feelings that I don't get time to release or am scared to release. This has also been helping my view of my self and my self worth, learning to love my self again as there is an element that I don't love myself as I don't care enough about myself. My whole general mental and physical health is improving with self care, my blood pressure has dropped, weight is dropping off, I am coming off medication. I've learned to say no and I feel as if I've got a voice now and I can say no. This has helped me to accept my feelings and deal with feelings and helping me to cope with the situation of caring for my daughter. Coming here is a safe place that I don't feel judged and I don't feel alone. Sometimes it is so lonely and dark and to meet people on similar journeys makes such a difference. Tonight was a big break through of emotional release where I felt physical pain leave my body and I feel calmness upon me.
