"High levels of professionalism"

About: Victoria Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I began unexpected PU bleeding, I was shocked and didn’t know what was happening.

My husband rushed me to hospital and we attended A&E we were seen quickly straight through the waiting room and in to triage with suspected miscarriage. The staff in A&E all acted very quickly and got me on to the gynaecology ward as soon as a bed was available later that evening.

I would like to thank Nurse Gemma was looking after me and also health care support worker Lyndsey who also went above and beyond through out my stay. Both staff demonstrated high levels of professionalism and spoke to me and told me about what was happening and what the next stages and plan would be going forward.

Communication appeared very good between shifts and I cannot thank the girls at gynaecology enough for the person-centred care they are providing to women daily.

Please let them be recognised for their amazing work. Gynaecology unit Victoria hospital - you should be proud of your team, keep smiling girls.

Dear nhanlon334,

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback, I'll make sure the staff involved are recognised. I'm very glad to hear we were able to make what must have been an extremely anxious and difficult time for you and your partner that little bit easier and I hope you are recovering. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with the unit if you require any further guidance.

Kind regards
