"Very helpful and empathetic"

About: Mental Health / Primary Care Mental Health

(as a service user),

ADHD service East Ren team

7 week sessions to learn about ADHD and the strategies and techniques that can be implemented to support diagnosis and improvement of life and coping strategies.

This group was helpful though should be something that is given closer to diagnosis. I gained many new strategies and a deeper understanding of what ADHD is and how it affects me through this course, but much of this has also had to be self taught after being diagnosed and left to work things out. This group is the kind of aftercare from diagnosis that should be provided sooner rather than later.

The leaders were very helpful and empathetic as well as supportive and understanding of their field. They taught resilience through compassion and provided self led strategies that truly benefit real life.
