"It's been a really positive experience"

(as a service user),

ADHD service East Ren team.

The sparks group was brilliant and a huge help. It was a supportive and encouraging environment and Paul and Anna, the facilitators, showed great knowledgeable and understanding of ADHD and they showed empathy to the struggles we shared, and they encouraged us and helped suggest strategies that could help. There was a very positive feel to the group, even on weeks when the topics were quite focussed on difficulties and struggles.

It was great to have peer support and to see that others had similar struggles, which helped me to feel less alone in the struggles I face, and we also shared links, groups, apps, purchases etc that had helped, that could help others.

The topics covered were relevant and useful and covered lots of areas of the ADHD experience. As well as learning more about why I struggle with things (based on my brain setup and ADHD symptoms) we learnt practical strategies that really helped to put into practice.

I'm so glad I was offered a space in the group, as it's been a really positive experience and it's given me lots of support and strategies to put into place.
