Over the last six months, there have been several reasons for me to contact Central Surgery.
The current contact / appointment system works super efficiently, from a patients point of view. All my requests have been actioned the same day, without needing to attend.or sit on the phone for hours, just trying to get through to reception.
Likewise, I have reason to contact the surgery regarding two different health matters. On both occasions I was contacted within 20 mins and seen by an appropriate medical professional within 2 hours of my initial contact. (The old telephone system could take 2 hours just to speak to reception).
I have to highlight, that the surgery screening of initial patient contact, works perfectly for patients, so the appropriate service is offered whether that be a nurse, doctor or the recent addition of paramedics.
My last appointment was with the paramedic and I have to commend this service. What a brilliant idea.
I had contemplated attending A&E, so to be seen a paramedic was very reassuring. He got me booked in to the correct hospitial unit the same day, without the need to sit in A&E for hours.
Efficient for patients and the NHS
