"Given Dad his independence and his quality of life back"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Community Stroke Neuro Rehabilitation Team

(as a relative),

Dad had a major bleed on the brain back in summer 2024 and he spent around 13weeks in hospital before being discharged home with community support.

At the time of discharge the outlook from the hospital was that any real, further progress was unlikely. However, the community team have works wonders and I can't thank the rehabilitation staff at Coathill highly enough.

Iona, Susan, Gillian & Irene, a massive thank you, you along with all your support staff at Coathill have given Dad his independence and his quality of life back.

Hi Will6248,

I am sorry to hear about your Dad's bleed on the brain last year. Thank you for taking the time to post your comments online, especially when you have all been going through such a challenging time.

I am delighted that he has made such progress with his independence and quality of life. I will ensure the team know that you have highlighted that their input has contributed to this outcome (along with your Dad's hard work and dedication I am sure).

The team will be delighted to hear of this feedback as it is exactly the kind of experience they aim to deliver. Best wishes to your Dad with the rest of his recovery.

Thanks again.

Cara
