I was taken by ambulance to SWAH after a knee injury. I had an x-ray and was put in a brace. I explained that I felt I had a tear in my cartilage and would need an MRI, I was in horrendous pain.
I seen my consultant in Omagh 3 days later, who informed me that I was on the emergency list for MRIs.
A few weeks past I rang SWAH again and was informed me that I was on the ordinary list for MRI. A few weeks later still in horrendous pain I contacted out of hours who informed me to attend Altnagelvin, which I subsequently did.
I informed the doctor on that occasion that I was waiting on MRI. They insisted on sending me for another x-ray. I was then told to ice my knee and I should be ok in 10 days.
My mental health has been suffering since this injury.
I received a call a few days later to say that I was now on the emergency list. I was away and received a call to ask if I had received the appointment, which I had and told them that I was unable to attend on that date as I was away. I was then informed that I would be reallocated an appointment. That was two weeks ago and I haven't heard anything.
