"Ordering medication from hospital"

(as the patient),

I have phoned several times and no response, when I eventually got a answer the person I spoke to hung up and when I called back I was answered very sarcastically. Trying to order medication is a nightmare only to be told at 3pm that pharmacy is closed when it is supposed to close at 6pm. Very angry and discussed at this service 😡

Sorry to hear that you had issues with ordering your medication this morning.

I will share your experience at the staff meeting on Monday morning and remind staff about how to answer calls.

We have recently introduced a direct line to pharmacy ( 02871321180) which means that you no longer have to call through switchboard but can ring through to pharmacy directly and then select the number for medicines collection. We are sharing information on the direct line with all patients as they collect their medicines, but it will take a while for this information to be shared with all patients.
