"Disappointing service."

My 12 year old daughter had an appointment at 4.30pm today. Due to bad traffic, unfortunately we arrived at the surgery at 4 39pm. I did phone the surgery around 4.25pm and spoke to a lovely receptionist and explained that we were on our way but running late. Upon arrival, the receptionist on the front desk was very helpful too. However, the doctor refused to see my daughter. I find this really shocking that despite my efforts to inform the surgery of the delay the doctor still refused to see a 12 year old child. Appointments for children who attend secondary school is virtually impossible to get from the hours of 4-6pm. I really hoped there would be compassion towards patients in unforeseen circumstances at this surgery, like it used to be. The surgery has changed so much, it used to be a lovely surgery. The receptionists were extremely professional and a credit to the surgery but the service from the doctor was truly disappointing.
