From the time I arrived at A+E I was treated with respect and compation.
the A+E staff made sure that I got to see the right people and they all as quickly as possible.
I was passed to the surgical team with little fuss and they explained what would happen how and why including a very rough time scale.
I was put on Cheerful Sparrows ward and the Nurses that admitted me to the ward were VERY EXCELLENT. The ward staff were always about and helpful.
The Doctors Surgeons and Anaesthetist all came to see me and explained in detail what would happen and why they would do it answering any question I had all was done in Plain English not full of medical jargon.
I went to the theatre and the Anaesthetist made me comfortable then knocked me out.
When I came to in the recovery ward was aware that the Nurse was helping me and so no panic yet again another smiling happy Person
On returning to the ward I was made comfortable they told me there was a criteria for going home (ESCAPE) I called it. EAT DRINK AND PEE. did all 3 within 30 mins.
Discharged an hour later
I would like to say " WHAT A GREAT TEAM OF PEOPLE THAT LOOKED AFTER ME FROM START TO FINISH"
"Great team looked after me for abscess removal"
