"She always comments on how lovely all the staff are"

About: Stevenson Day Centre

(as a relative),

Mum has Vascular Dementia and it has robbed her of her independence and confidence.  She was becoming more and more socially isolated.  This year she has started attending the Day Centre twice a week and she loves it.  

The family feel that she is well cared for and safe at the centre.  She always comments on how lovely all the staff are.  The staff are very approachable and the communication is great.  Mum brings home a diary which details her activities, diet and general well being for the day.  This is great for us as Mum can't remember what has happened but she does remember how the day has made her feel.  

The Service seems to be well managed , spotlessly clean, calm, cheery and relaxed and the activities and events are engaging and varied.

Hi Famalam,

Please note my thanks to you for taking the time to contact us to share your mothers' experiences of our day services.

I am very pleased that she is enjoying the time at the day service and I am encouraged to read that your mum is benefitting from the structure and indeed the social interaction that the Stevenson Centre provides.

It is very important for the staff group to hear this type of positive feedback especially when they are trying out new activities or therapies.

I am sure that the staff team will be delighted to read your positive comments and I will most certainly pass them on.
