My husband had a fall yesterday, hurting his shoulder. I took him to GRI accident and emergency dept where they diagnosed a dislocated shoulder. My husband takes Warfarin so they decided a head scan should also be carried out in case of a bleed.
We were both extremely impressed with the care he received. The dept appeared to be very busy but he was taken after a short wait and although we spent a few hours in the dept he had a full examination which put our minds at rest.
All of the staff members who treated him were courteous and professional, all very pleasant, assuring that he was comfortable and I was kept informed about his treatment.
A big thank you to the staff in A & E. your jobs must often have difficulties but the care you give is a credit to the profession.
