I have waited for a while to post this as wanted to calm down and evaluate the situation . Being a newly diagnosed diabetic and still having high blood sugar I went to the surgery to collect my kit . The receptionist was rude and when I felt unwell and I asked if I could sit down she said it was not appropriate and could I sit away from the surgery doors as they had other patients visiting .I had specifically asked to speak to the diabetic nurse ( who is lovely ) as an emergency I sat in the car park for 20 mins before making my way to a chemist and being taken back to hospital . The diabetic nurse was not even informed . Certain receptionists at this practice are always friendly and helpful but there are the few that are consistently rude to patients and leave a bitter taste in your mouth . Perhaps they should remember that patients are in fact ill in some way or another and if they didn't have to go to the doctor they wouldn't.
