My diabetic consultant discussed increasing my medication to help bring my blood sugar levels down
After speaking to me, they said they would write to my GP with instruction and include possible side effects which would require monitoring.
I attended the practice nurse this morning for blood pressure routine checks and was asked about how my sugar levels were doing. I explained that the consultant was to write to the GP suggesting increased medication and when they looked at my medical records they saw the letter had indeed been sent, but had not yet been read - despite this being two months later.
