My Dad had to get a pre op assessment last minute and Staff Nurse, Pamela, of BCH was excellent in the days leading up to procedure. She went over and beyond with the process and her reassurance and guidance was amazing. The interpersonal skills and friendly manner was brilliant. She was so dedicated and is a credit to the hospital. I cannot thank her enough. At the assessment Geraldine was so good with Dad and chatting away reassuring him at each stage. Joe at reception desk was just fantastic on the day of the operation too answering my questions and finding out some information as we were travelling a distance, easing my anxiety.
On the day of the operation Nurse Julie Anne in Day Surgery unit was an absolute star. Dad still talks about her and her bedside manner and friendly way with explaining all and looking after him post op. He had to remain in as precaution overnight and she communicated all updates in a reassuring way. A big thanks to Mr Harris who performed the surgery also for his professionalism and friendly manner.
All staff involved are a credit to the Trust and NHS but the above names just needed a special mention. Thank you so much from my Dad and my family. #True NHS heroes #Angels in disguise.
