I've been admitted to weaver ward on a number of occasions and the nursing staff and HCAs were so helpful and caring. Even when the ward was chaotic they always tried their hardest to make time to listen and support you. Even the agency staff were helpful and had.time to listen.
However, on each occasion I was admitted, I felt completely fobbed off by the doctors. I was sent home 3 times when I feel I was clearly not safe, only to end up back a few days/weeks later. I was repeatedly taken off my medication with them suggesting that I didn't take them out of hospital so there was no point in me having them, when that have no way of knowing what I am doing outside hospital. I was seen for a whole of 10 mins (if that) during ward rounds and it seems that they never actually listened to a word I said anyways. And they were told by my care co that I was I fact taking them regularly whilst in the community. I was repeatedly made to feel like I wasn't worth any help and it constantly made me worse than I already did.
Now I can't fault the nursing staff and HCAs who did all they could to help whilst on the ward.
